What is Pocket TV?

Pocket TV is a mobile based application available exclusively for Android and iOS Users on Vodafone Qatar Network. 

How to download the app?

Android Users can search the app on Play Store whereas iOS users can find it in App Store.

How to login to the app?

Users can log into the app only if they are on Vodafone network. To Login, user should press the red button "Sign in with Vodafone" which is at the bottom of the Login Screen.

What to do if PIN code is not automatically detected?

In this case user should manually enter the code. Go to the Message app of the mobile device and check for the message sent by Vodafone with the PIN Code.

What kind of contents does the app provide?

Currently there are over 90 Live TV channels (Nepali, Hindi and Bengali) and over 130 Nepali, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam and Telugu FM stations.

Are the contents free or should I pay for the contents?

All the contents have a minimum subscription fee.

What subscription plans are available?

There are three subscription plans available:

  1. Daily Pack (24 hrs): QR 3
  2. 7 days Pack: QR 15
  3. 30 days Pack: QR 45

Is the payment refundable?

No, it is not refundable.

How to buy one of the plans?

Once you login to the app, you can either press on the Buy package at the top right corner of the app or just click on image of any live TV channel / Radio and subscribe to one of the three plans. Then a dialog with all the Pack options appears. User can proceed further by clicking on any one of the plans. SMS with PIN code will be sent to the user device. User will have to enter this PIN code, if it is not detected automatically, and press Submit button.

Does the subscription renew automatically?


Do I have to pay for the data usage as well?

For all three packages the data being used for the application is already included in the package, so there is no extra cost for data used for streaming.

How many languages are available?

There are 4 languages (English, Hindi, Nepali and Bengali) available.

How can I change the language?

Users can choose the default language while installing the app on their devices or can change it later by clicking on more at the bottom right corner of the app screen and selecting the option "Change Language". User will then be shown with different language and user can change language by selecting one.

How can I send my feedback from within the app?

Go to More section and either send us an email using the Contact Us option or send us a feedback using the Feedback option available.

How to logout of the app?

Click the "More" button at the bottom right corner of the screen and select the option "Log Out".

What happens if the subscriber changes his SIM card to another Vodafone SIM & to different operator or port out?

If the SIM is changed, user will not be able to continue with the subscription. In this case customer will have to register and then subscribe (pay) again. The user account is maintained from their phone number and IMEI of the device, so if this is not matched with our backend then we will log out the user.

Can I use the app while roaming?

When subscriber leaves Qatar, he/she will not be able to use the app.

What are the options for customers who are able to mirror but facing a resolution issue on TV?

The resolution of streams is chosen in such a way that it provides the optimum visual resolution for mobile devices but will not be high enough for mirroring on TV. For this reason, this app does not have an inbuilt mirroring feature. We may bring higher resolution streams in future if there is higher demands for mirroring in TV as premium products.

Is Video on Demand(VOD) available in Pocket TV?

VOD section will be added soon with contents from Nepal, Bangladesh and India.

What to do if the Buy tag appears even after receiving notification of successfully subscription of the pack?

After receiving the SMS, customer should follow the steps below:


  1. Click on the Live TV or Radio icon at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Click on the refresh button at the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Exit and Relaunch the app


  1. Pull down the channel/radio list to refresh the list (Pull-to-Refresh)
  2. Click on the refresh button at the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Exit the app by pressing Home button and start the app again.
