In compliance with the decision of the Communications Regulatory Authority Vodafone Qatar begins shutting down the 3G network

Doha – Qatar, 14 December 2025: Vodafone Qatar announced the start of the full transition from third-generation (3G) services to fourth- and fifth generation (4G and 5G) services, in line with the decision of the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) to shut down third-generation mobile networks across the country as of 31 December 2025. This decision issued by the Authority applies to all mobile network operators in the country and represents an important step reflecting the efforts made by the State to develop and modernize the telecommunications infrastructure nationwide, ensuring the provision of faster, more reliable, and future-ready digital services.
