My Network Name is a paid service which allows you to customise the network name displayed on your mobile device. For e.g. currently your network name states “Vodafone Qatar” which you can now customise with, for instance, your name e.g. “Ahmed’s Network”.

To activate My Network Name visit your local store and chat to one of our agents who would be happy to support you.
It will take up to 72 hours for us to update your personalised Network Name and we’ll send you a confirmation SMS when we’re done.
After requesting the Network Name service, please make sure your device is turned on and is connected to the Vodafone Qatar network until your Network Name is updated.
Network Name will work on all devices, however for Apple handsets using iOS 10 will not be able to include Arabic characters within their network name.
You can update your Network Name by chatting with our agents through My Vodafone App. Or, if you prefer you can visit your local store and chat to one of our agents who would be happy to support you.
If you’d like your Network Name removed, just let us know by chatting with our agents online or through the My Vodafone App or by visiting your local Vodafone store.
My Network Name is available to all of our Postpaid customers.
Yes, to upgrade your Network Name you will be charged the Premium Set-up fee of QR 5,000.
Your Network Name fees will appear under the “Plans and Extras” section of your bill.
Unfortunately, Network Name is not available for Prepaid customers. If you change your plan from Postpaid to Prepaid your Network Name will automatically be removed.
If your chosen Network Name is deemed inappropriate or offensive as per the laws and cultural sensitivity of Qatar, we may contact you and ask you to select a different Network Name. The final name approval shall be at the sole discretion of Vodafone.
When you request My Network Name service, our agent will let you know if you are close to reaching your credit limit. If so, they’ll advise you to make a one-off advance payment onto your account so we can continue your Network Name request.
You will still be able to opt-in to this service however you will need to provide your own identification and a letter of consent from the account holder noting they happy for this service to be added to their account and pay for it.

Unfortunately Network Name discounts are only available on selected Red Plans. If you change your plan from Red VIP you will no longer receive the 100% discount on the Basic Network Name Set-up Fee. If you change your plan from London Edition you will no longer receive this service free of charge.
Yes - if you are changing your plan to Red VIP or London Edition you’ll now benefit from exclusive discounts on your My Network Name service.
No – if you’ve changed your SIM card, your personalised Network Name will not immediately appear on your handset. Don’t worry, we will automatically update this for you and will let you know when your Network Name has been updated. There will be no charge for this.
Yes – your Network Name will continue to work if you have changed your mobile number but using the same SIM card.
No – unfortunately you cannot use your Flex to get the Network Name service
If you are using your existing SIM in a new mobile device, your Network Name will automatically update on your new device. Note at this stage Arabic letters are not supported on Apple devices using iOS 10 software.
When using an Android device both your personalised Network Name and the network name of the provider/country you are roaming in will appear on your device.
When using an Apple device your network name will be updated to show the network name of the provider/country you are roaming in.
When returning back to Qatar, only your personalised Network Name will appear on your device as normal.
After requesting to change your Network Name, please make sure your device is turned on and is connected to the Vodafone Qatar network until your Network Name is updated.
Currently only English and Arabic alphabets are available except Apple iPhone devices using iOS 10 as they don’t support Arabic characters.
