Doha, 18 November 2019: Vodafone Qatar has announced the launch of its premium new entertainment service – GigaTV- featuring exciting regional and international content to serve the entire family’s entertainment needs
GigaTV provides a full suite of entertainment through a state of the art set-top box that includes live TV channels, catch-up features and on-demand content such as movies from major studios, Vodafone exclusive TV series and kids content. GigaTV customers will also be able to enjoy all of these features on the go through its GigaTV app.
For the best in TV entertainment, Vodafone Qatar partnered with OSN to provide GigaTV customers with 19 premium channels at no extra cost. Customers also have the option to subscribe to OSN’s premium content available in multiple languages showcasing movies, kids and factual entertainment packages as a monthly add-on.
GigaTV is powered by Android TVTM, which gives customer’s access to more than 5000 Apps on Google PlayTM. Moreover, Chromecast built in is a feature that lets customers stream their favourite entertainment and apps from their mobile phone, tablet or laptop right to their TV.
To celebrate the launch of GigaTV, customers who sign-up from now until 18th February 2020, can enjoy a complementary 1 month subscription to OSN El Farq package worth QR249, that unlocks a world of international movies, series and kids channels.
