Doha, 17 November 2019: Continuing to pioneer in 5G deployment and commercial availability, Vodafone Qatar is now leading the way as the first telecommunications operator in the country to launch 5G roaming services - starting with the United Kingdom.
With the successful launch of 5G roaming, Vodafone Qatar is also the first operator in the region to launch a 5G service with the UK and is amongst an elite handful of operators globally that offer 5G roaming.

Vodafone Qatar 5G roaming in the UK can be enjoyed on Vodafone Passport Pack - the country’s widest reaching roaming pack - and all three Unlimited 5G Plans, assuring its customers of the best roaming experience. Vodafone Qatar customers with active roaming data services on a 5G handset will be able to enjoy 5G roaming with Vodafone UK without any extra cost. The 5G roaming service will be available based on 5G Vodafone UK coverage.
Since launching its 5G network just over a year ago, Vodafone Qatar has been leading the deployment of 5G in the country and continues to invest heavily in rapidly rolling out 5G across Qatar to support the nation’s ambitious plans to build an integrated digital society.
