Doha, Qatar 04 February 2020: Vodafone Qatar has launched ‘Explorer Plan’, a new Postpaid plan for parents to stay in touch with their children and know they are safe while they explore, learn and discover things out of sight.
Through Endless Internet and 250 minutes of local calls and SMS for just QR 50 per month, parents can easily stay connected with their children. Under the plan, kids can use local minutes and SMS interchangeably. Endless Internet will be available at full speed for 1GB and thereafter at 64Kbps speed for unlimited usage. The 64 Kbps data speed rate gives kids a sufficient amount of bandwidth to stay connected with their parents using popular messenger services.

The Explorer Plan empowers parents to give their children the confidence to make full use of their digital freedom with the peace of mind and assurance that they can always get in touch.”
The new Explorer Plan is one more step towards ensuring that parents are equipped with the right tools to nurture their children to become global citizens of an increasingly hyper-connected world. Vodafone Qatar has continued its efforts towards child safety and wellbeing since its launch of its digital safety programme, AmanTECH, in 2014. Among its initiatives, the ‘AmanTECH Augmented Reality App game’ adopts a playful approach to highlight how young users can be safe online, while online resources available to parents include a digital parenting guide and digital safety tips for parents, accessible at www.vodafone.qa/AmanTECH.
Parents need to have an existing Vodafone Postpaid plan of QR120 or above to sign their child up for Explorer Plan. This plan is available at Vodafone retail stores only and requires the Qatari ID of both parent and child.
