Doha, Qatar 16 June 2020: Vodafone Qatar has announced the prize winners of its Sawa digital engagement competition during the holy month of Ramadan. The mega winner of the QAR 25,000 grand cash prize was Mr. Abdul Shakoor, with the highest total points overall.
The top three winners each week received cash prizes of QAR 5,000, QAR 3,000 and QAR 2,000 respectively:
Week one: Mr. Abdelhamed Elsayed, Ms. Noora Hisham and Mr. Reymond Carlet Paye
Week two: Mr. Ayman Mohamed, Ms. Rumesasulthana Shaik and Mr. Mohammad Sabir Ali
Week three: Mr. Ismail Bin Salam, Mr. Mohamed Naji Abdullah Al Harazi and Mr. Waleed Shady
Week four: Mr. Mahmoud Helmi Azab Fahim, Mr. Naseer Moideen and Mr. Ahmed Hassaan Mohamed Seas Al Nasr
More than 175,000 people enjoyed a host of entertainment and activities, trivia quizzes and games on the Vodafone Sawa platform, which was launched at the beginning of Ramadan to encourage the public to be part of its charitable giving campaign.
Congratulating the winners, Vodafone Qatar said: “We received a wonderful response to our Sawa engagement campaign and we truly thank everyone who participated in this unique digital activity. We especially congratulate our winners who made a tremendous effort to be part of our giving to the three charity initiatives.”
The Sawa initiative was organised by Vodafone Qatar as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility programme. Vodafone Qatar made donations totalling QAR 370,000, which benefitted Qatar Charity, Qatar Red Crescent Society and Education Above All.
