Your iPhone and Apple Watch will share the same phone number. Once the pairing service is completed on your Apple Watch you will be able to make or receive calls and use data for browsing your favourite apps on your Apple Watch even when you’re away from your iPhone.

Which iPhones support Mobile Plan pairing with the Apple Watch?

Which iOS Version supports the Apple Watch eSIM service?
The eSIM service for Apple Watch is supported on iOS version 13.4 and above for iPhone and iOS version 6.2 and above for Apple Watch.
Which Mobile Plans are compatible with Apple Watch pairing?
All Postpaid voice plans with mobile data allowance including Vodafone Unlimited and Flex plans. Pairing will not work with Mobile Broadband plans and plan allowance cannot be used by the watch during roaming. Ensure that you enable Value Added Services (VAS) on your number by dialing *100*20#. Note:For Business customers, please contact your Account Manager to enable the service.
Which telecom services work on Apple watch when it is paired with a mobile plan?
Local Calls and Local Data. Roaming services cannot be used on your Apple Watch.
Does the eSIM service for Apple Watch work on roaming?
When overseas, you will not be able to use the cellular functionality of your watch, even if your mobile can. You will still be able to use most of the features if it is connected to your phone via Bluetooth.
How much does it cost to pair your Apple Watch with your Mobile Plan?
This service incurs a QR30 per month rental (per Apple Watch). All customers who initiate pairing before 11 December 2020 will enjoy free rental fee for 6 months.
Can I pair my Apple Watch to my mobile plan while roaming?
Pairing Apple watch while overseas is not possible, pairing must be done while being inside the country and connected to Vodafone network.
How many Apple Watches can I pair to my number?
You can pair up to 2 Apple Watches to your phone but only 1 watch will be connected to your phone via Bluetooth at the same time, you will be charged the 30QR rental fees per watch per month.
How will I be charged for making calls or using data from my Apple Watch?
Any calls or data used on your paired Apple Watch will count towards your mobile plan’s usage and charges. Standard out-of-bundle charges may apply as per your Mobile Plan when Mobile Plan allowances are consumed.
If I lose my Apple Watch, what should I do?
If your Apple Watch is lost or stolen, immediately suspend or cancel the pairing service from the Apple Watch App on your iPhone.
Can I suspend my Apple Watch anytime?
Yes, you can suspend the Apple Watch from the Apple Watch App up to but not more than once per day.
Can I delete my Apple watch eSIM from the Apple Watch?
Yes you can but the service fees will still apply as far as the Apple Watch is not unpaired from your main plan, you can also download a new eSIM to the watch for free, with a limit of one time per day.
Can I cancel my pairing service anytime?
There is no minimum term, so you can cancel anytime. Cancellation can be done via the iPhone Watch App.
I am an Enterprise customer, can I pair my Apple Watch to my mobile plan?
You can pair the mobile plan after the company account SPOC/chooser avails this option to you.
In case of changing my main sim card, does the Apple Watch connection get impacted?
No impact on the Apple Watch in case of swapping the main phone sim card whether it was a physical or an eSIM.
Will my Apple Watch service get interrupted if I cancel my main plan or port out from Vodafone?
Yes your service is paired to the main mobile plan, if its suspended or deactivated for any reason the Apple Watch service will get suspended or deactivated accordingly.
Can I change my Apple Watch without cancelling my Apple Watch cellular eSIM?
No you cannot change the Apple Watch, you will need to cancel the current active cellular subscription and go through the pairing process again with the new watch through the Apple Watch App.
Vodafone Apple Watch eSIM Service ("eSIM Service") – Terms & Conditions:
Prerequisites to activate Vodafone eSIM Service on Apple Watch
In order to avail of the eSIM Service on the Apple Watch you must have the following:
iPhone: iPhone 6s and above;
IOS: 13.4 or later. After installing iOS, please select Update on carrier settings notification. If you choose to skip updating your carrier settings, you won’t be able to enjoy cellular connectivity on your Apple Watch. However, you can update later by accessing Settings > General > About Section where you'll see an option to update your carrier settings;
Apple Watch: Apple Watch Series 4 & 5 (GPS + Cellular) or Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular); model A2156, A2157, A2156, A2157, A2007, A2008, A1889 or A1891 (you can find out the watch model after pairing it with your phone through going to my watch then General then about, you will find the model number starting with "A");
Watch OS : WatchOS 6.2 or later;
Mobile Plan: A valid Vodafone Postpaid voice plan (including Unlimited and Flex plans);
QID: a valid QID registered with Vodafone for the same account which the Mobile Plan is activated under. In the event that your QID does not match our records registration of the eSIM may not be initiated or completed and may be cancelled at our discretion.
Voice and Data Plan Usage as part of the Vodafone eSIM Service on Apple Watch
Mobile Plan allowances (Local & International Calls and Local Mobile Data) will be shared between your Apple Watch and your iPhone.
Standard out-of-bundle charges will apply as per your Mobile Plan if Mobile Plan allowances are consumed.
Vodafone Standard Postpaid Terms and Conditions apply to the eSIM Service.
In addition to your Mobile Plan charges, you will incur a monthly recurring fee of 30 QAR for each Apple Watch that is paired to your Mobile Plan.
If you suspend the eSIM Service in accordance with these eSIM Service Terms and Conditions and unsuspended the eSIM Service during the same calendar month you will still be charged the full monthly pairing charge (30 QAR).
If you suspend the eSIM Service in accordance with these eSIM Service Terms and Conditions and un-suspend the eSIM Service in a subsequent calendar month you will be charged for the full calendar month in which you suspended the eSIM Service and a prorated amount for the calendar month in which you unsuspended the eSIM Service.
Suspension and Termination of the eSIM Service
You can suspend the eSIM Service via the Apple Watch App up to but not more than once per day.
If the eSIM is deleted from the Apple Watch without un-pairing or deletion/suspension from the Apple Watch App, the pairing charges will still apply until the Apple Watch is unpaired from your Mobile Plan.
You can only download one eSIM to the Apple Watch.
You can cancel the eSIM Service anytime via the iPhone Watch App. In the event of cancellation, you will not be entitled to any refund of the monthly 30 QAR pairing charge.
If for any reason your Mobile Plan is suspended or deactivated the eSIM Service will automatically be suspended/deactivated accordingly.
eSIM Service Limitations
The Apple Watch eSIM Service cannot be used on its own while roaming.
Only Local Calls and Local Data can be used as part of the eSIM Service. Roaming services cannot be used on your Apple Watch.

Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) pairing is available to Vodafone Postpaid customers only.
You can pair up to two Apple Watches to your phone but only one Apple Watch will be connected to your phone via Bluetooth at the same time. You will be charged 30 QAR per Apple Watch per month (regardless of whether or not you use the Apple Watch).
Get a 6 months free trial when pairing your watch, after trial period you will be charged 30QR per month for each paired watch.
