Doha, Qatar, 25 April 2021: Vodafone Qatar P.Q.S.C. (“Vodafone Qatar” or the “Company”) today announced its financial results for the three months ended 31 March 2021, achieving what is the highest quarterly net profit in the Company’s history.
Key highlights- Q1 2021 compared to Q1 2020:
  • Service Revenue increased by 5.1% to QR 534 million
  • Total Revenue increased by 8.3% to QR 585 million
  • EBITDA increased by 17% to QR 234 million
  • EBITDA margin increased by 3 pp to 40%
  • Net Profit increased by 38% to QR 66 million
Financial Summary
Vodafone Qatar maintained its growth trajectory in Q1 2021, reporting Net Profit of QR 66 million for the three months ended 31 March 2021, representing an increase of 38% year-on-year.
Total revenue increased by 8.3% year-on-year to reach QR 585 million driven by continued growth in the Company’s Postpaid revenue and Fixed Broadband services in addition to higher handset sales.  Service Revenue grew by 5.1% to reach QR 534 million.
EBITDA for the period increased by 17% year-on-year to reach QR 234 million led by higher service revenue and the continued effectiveness in implementing the Company’s cost optimisation programme. Consequently, EBITDA margin rose by 3 percentage points to 40%. Lastly, Vodafone Qatar is now serving 1.7 million mobile customers.
