The Board of Directors of Vodafone Qatar is pleased to announce the opening of the nomination period for the election of the three (3) independent board members of Vodafone Qatar for a term of three years starting in 2022 and ending in 2024 in accordance with the Commercial Companies Law No. (11) of 2015, the QFMA Governance Code for Companies & Legal Entities Listed on the Main Market (QFMA Board Decision No. (5) of 2016) and the Articles of Association of the Company. The nomination period shall be open for fifteen (15) days starting from Tuesday, 4 January 2022 and closing at 14:00pm on Tuesday, 18 January 2022 (“Nomination Period”).
Persons interested in the nomination for independent board membership in Vodafone Qatar are invited to submit the nomination application form and requested documents, available on the official website of Vodafone Qatar www.vodafone.qa under the investor relations section, in hard copies at the offices of the Company located in Msheireb Downtown, 4th floor, building 2, Street 981, Zone 3, during morning working hours (starting at 8:00am until 14:00pm) during the Nomination Period. The application will be submitted to the Nomination Committee through the reception.
Remarks:
- Applications submitted after the deadline specified above or not meeting the requirements shall not be considered.
- The eligibility requirements for independent board membership are available on Vodafone Qatar’s website (www.vodafone.qa).
- Elections will take place during the General Assembly meeting of Vodafone Qatar intended to be convened before end of April 2022. The invitation to the General Assembly meeting will be published in a local newspaper, on Qatar Stock Exchange website and on Vodafone Qatar’s website at least twenty one (21) days prior to the meeting.
