What is the “World of Prizes” (WOP)?

A SMS based trivia game exclusively for Vodafone customers. Participants will receive an initial SMS invite and if the customer opts in they will receive general knowledge trivia questions on various topics. By answering these questions you will accumulate points. Correct answers receive more points and increase your chances to win. The WOP also gives you the opportunity to participate in draws for the chance to win various prizes.

The WOP has 2 competitions:

  • FREE Competition –the participant plays for free (with a daily limit of 5 questions) and an entry into the draw for a chance to win a grand prize of QR 25,000.
  • PREMIUM Competition – Eligible participants can answer up to 5 questions per day and are charged QR 5 for every 5 Questions with a chance to to win prizes such as an Audi Car worth around QR 100,000.

What is the duration of the WOP?

WOP will commence on 17th October, 2018, 00:00:01 hrs to 14th April 2019 23:59:59 hrs (“Draw Period”).

Who is eligible to participate in the WOP?

All Vodafone Prepaid and Postpaid customers who are residents of Qatar and over 18 years old are eligible to participate in WOP. The following are prohibited from participating in WOP:

  • Directors, members, partners, employees, contest suppliers or agents of or consultants to Vodafone
  • All blood relations such as spouse, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of a person contemplated in previous paragraph
  • Vodafone’s blacklisted customers
  • Vodafone’s VIP List
  • Vodafone employees

How does the point system work?

For every correct answer the participant will receive a point and will be entered into the monthly draw. The more points the greater the chance of winning! A participant  needs to earn at least 1 point during the Draw Period to participate in the relevant draw.

How much will it cost to subscribe to the WOP Premium Competition?

Premium Participants will be charged QR 5/- for every 5 trivia questions. . Once the participant has subscribed to the Premium Competition, they will be charged on an auto-renew basis for the Draw Period unless the Premium Participant unsubscribes from the WOP competition.

Each time a Premium Participant is charged QAR 5/ they will receive 10 local mins valid for 2 days only

If a Prepaid Premium Participant has insufficient balance to cover the charges, they will no longer be entitled to play until such time that they recharge.

How will Vodafone Qatar deduct the WOP competition charges?

As a Postpaid customer your Premium Competition charges will be added to your monthly bill. As a Prepaid customer your Premium Competition subscription will be deducted from your Prepaid balance.  

How can I check my total points?

Your total points will be mentioned an  SMS you will receive while playing. You may send a SMS for free by typing SCORE to 97710/97711 to get yourtotal points anytime during WOP.

What are the prizes and how can I win them?

Free and Premium Competition customers both will be entered in the draws for the chance to win the following prizes:

  • QR 25,000 (1 final draw at the end of WOP Draw Period)

For Premium Competition participants only there will be three monthly drawfor the chance to win one of the following prizes:

  • Audi Car worth around QR 100,000

How many times can I participate in WOP?

Free competition participants can answer up to 5 questions per day and Premium competition participants can answer up to 5 questions per day at a cost of / QR 5).

WOP terms and conditions can be found at www.vodafone.qa/worldofprizes. Customers participating can get additional information about the service by calling 111 (toll free 8007111 or from abroad +974 7700 7111).

How are the winners of WOP selected?

Eligible winners for each draw are selected at random.

How are the winners notified?

All eligible winners will only be contacted by Vodafone Qatar by phone on the number he/she has used to participate in WOP. Vodafone will attempt to contact the winner at least 3 times a day for 2 days, between the hours of 9am and 8pm. If the winner cannot be contacted during this period the winner will be disqualified and shall forfeit their prize. 

Where will the winners be announced?

Winners will be published under the “winners” section at www.vodafone.qa. Customers can get additional information regarding the winners by calling Vodafone Qatar Customer Care at 111 (toll free 8007111 or from abroad +974 7700 7111) free of charge, from his/her mobile phone.

How can I collect my prize?

When you win, you will receive a call from Vodafone Qatar with all necessary details for receiving your prize, including the proper identification required, the details of the prize acceptance event and any other formalities which you are required to follow.

Where can I find more details on the WOP?

Customers can get more information about the WOP by sending MORE to 97710/97711 or by calling Vodafone Customer Care  at 111, toll free at 8007111 or from abroad at +974 7700 7111.

How can I change the language when am playing WOP?

You can send ENG for English, ARB for Arabic, HIN for Hindi  to 97710/97711 , for free, to change the competition language.

I am out of town, can someone else claim my prize?

Winners who are away or cannot come personally to pick up their prize can give written authorization along with a copy of their Qatari ID to an authorized third party to claim their prize.

Can I still compete in WOP while I’m roaming outside of Qatar?

Yes, you can still compete when you are roaming outside of Qatar, however please note that you will be charged the standard roaming rates per SMS sent and Vodafone Qatar’s terms and conditions shall apply.

I received a SMS stating that I have won a prize from Vodafone Qatar. What do I do?

Winners will only be contacted by Vodafone Qatar by a phone on the mobile number used by the customer to play WOP.  No other means of communication including SMS or email is used by Vodafone Qatar and if the Customer receives any such message they should immediately report this to Vodafone Qatar.
