VODAFONE CONNECTS RESIDENTIAL COMPOUNDS IN ABU HAMOUR AND AL GHARAFA WITH GIGANET FIBRE

Doha, Qatar 23 December 2020: Residents of Abu Hamour and Al Gharafa can now access Vodafone Qatar’s superfast fibre broadband network following roll-out completion in 58 residential compounds, with roll-out rapidly expanding to connect more compounds in these 2 areas. The current list includes: Dar Al Salam, Ain Khaled Gate, Al Sultan Complex (1, 2), Al Fardan, Ezdan Village 1, Al Jazeera (1, 2, 3 & 4), Al Jazi Village (1&2), Al Rehab and Lavender Village.

This latest announcement highlights Vodafone’s rapidly expanding fibre footprint in the country that in addition to Abu Hamour and Al Gharafa, includes key locations such as Al Waab, West Bay, Lusail, Salwa, The Pearl, Wakra, Bin Mahmoud, Al Sadd, Msheireb, Industrial Area and Old Salata.

Vodafone Qatar’s GigaNet fibre network roll-out in Abu Hamour and Al Gharafa will enable Vodafone GigaHome services in thousands of homes. In addition to high-speed internet, Vodafone GigaHome covers homes of every size with uninterrupted Wi-Fi in every room using a state-of-the-art Giga Wi-Fi Hub. What’s more, residents can enjoy the GigaHome Family offer which lets anyone try GigaHome smart Wi-Fi and enjoy a three months trial period without being locked-in.

In addition, GigaHome-Fibre customers can enjoy GigaTV, Vodafone’s home entertainment service that features live TV channels, on-demand content such as movies from major studios, Vodafone exclusive TV series and kids content, as well as OSN premium channels. These features can also be enjoyed on the go through the GigaTV app.
