Vodafone's Qatari Employees Receive 60% Salary Increase
2 October 2011: Recognising the generosity and concern for the welfare of the Qatari people shown by the Emir HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Heir Apparent HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani through the decision to increase government employee's salaries, Vodafone Qatar has followed this leadership and responded with the same generosity and concern for their Qatari employees with a 60% salary increase.

On behalf of the Qatari employees at Vodafone Qatar, senior managers Eisa Abdulla and Khalifa Saleh Haroon said, "We want to express our great appreciation to the CEO and the Board for applying the decision of the nation by following Their Highnesses the Emir and Heir Apparent's vision and direction. This salary increase reflects the effort and caring that Vodafone has for the Qatari employees. The fact that our CEO took the matter personally and made the time to sit down with the Qatari employees to announce this to us personally meant a great deal to us. We hope to repay the generosity shown to the Qataris with even harder work and dedication to make Vodafone the most admired brand in Qatar."
