Vodafone Qatar Opens Handset Service Center


18 May 2010: Vodafone Qatar today officially opened its Handset Service Center- the first time a telecommunications company in Qatar is offering an after-sales service for its customers.

Run by Qatar Mobile who have years of experience in device after sales, the Vodafone Service Centre will offer help and support to customers who have issues with the following list of devices they purchased via a Vodafone store or retail partner:

  • All Vodafone devices
  • All Apple iPhone devices
  • All BlackBerry devices
  • Vodafone mobile broadband sticks
  • Vodafone mobile broadband hotspot (MiFi)
  • HTC Magic

Phones not in the above list are covered by their own local service centres.

"To ensure our customers are never left without their phone for too long, Vodafone's Service Centre offers a fast straight-swap service for faulty phones under warranty, which means customers normally get a replacement straightaway. Otherwise a replacement is ready in less than 48 hours," said Mr. Lanre Animashaun, Vodafone Qatar's Head of Terminals. 

Where available, Vodafone will provide a paid replacement service for out-of-warranty phones. Vodafone's service centre staff will evaluate the fault on the phone, and provide a customer with a quote for the out-of-warranty service. The out-of-warranty service pricing is cheaper than having to buy a new device.

"I'm delighted to be officially opening Vodafone's Service Centre and marking another great milestone in Vodafone's journey towards making a world of difference for all the people in Qatar," said Mr. Daniel Horan, Vodafone Qatar's Director-Commercial Business Unit.

"The Vodafone Service Centre is yet another way Vodafone is striving to give all who join us a great customer experience," Mr. Horan continued.  

The Vodafone Service Centre is located at Nasralla Commercial Centre, Al Khaleej Street (near Al Jaidah flyover) and is open Saturday - Wednesday from 8:30 am to 12:30pm and 4:00pm  to 7:00 pm and on Thursday's from 8:30 am -to 12:30pm
