Vodafone City Centre Store Reaches Out To Workers

15 November, 2011: Staff of the Vodafone City Centre store decided to make a difference for more than 100 labour workers working on the construction site opposite City Centre. The staff put together bags filled with water, food, soap, a tooth brush and toothpaste along with a Vodafone cap and scratch card, and on their lunch break personally delivered the bags to the workers. “The event went well and the labourers loved the goody bags,” said Louise Catleugh, City Centre Store Manage, Vodafone Qatar. ”We see the labourers almost every day but this is the first time we actually had the chance to meet them in person and do something for them that would brighten their day. For me, it is part of developing and rewarding people in my team in ways other than just giving them money but by giving them a sense of personal achievement by helping the community around us. We will continue doing similar initiatives.” This initiative was part of ‘Better World’, Vodafone Qatar’s corporate social responsibility programme. For more information, visit -ENDS-
