Help - Vodafone Service Centre
-
Q.What is the Vodafone Service Centre?
-
A:
If you have a problem with your Vodafone-branded handset, iPhone, BlackBerry or Vodafone mobile broadband device that you purchased from Vodafone, you can go to the Vodafone Service Centre to get help.
-
Q.For which phones do you provide aftersales service?
-
A:
We provide help & support for the following devices, when purchased from an approved Vodafone channel i.e. a Vodafone store, or a Vodafone retail partner:
- All Vodafone devices
- All Apple iPhone devices
- All BlackBerry devices
- Vodafone mobile broadband sticks
- Vodafone mobile broadband hotspot (MiFi)
-
Q.What do I need to take to the Vodafone Service Centre?
-
A:
Aside from your phone, you will need to provide proof of purchase e.g. sales receipt, so we can confirm that the phone was bought through an approved Vodafone channel, and that it is still within the warranty period. You will also need to provide contact details should the service centre need to contact you.
-
Q.How long will it take to fix my phone?
-
A:
We want to keep you talking! We therefore offer a fast straight-swap service, which means you will normally get a replacement straightaway. Otherwise, the turnaround time from receiving the phone to having a replacement ready is less than 48 hours.
-
Q.Is the replacement service free?
-
A:
The replacement is free of charge as long as the following is true:
- Your phone was bought through an approved Vodafone channel
- Your phone is within the warranty period
- The fault is covered by warranty
Otherwise, a paid out-of-warranty service is offered, if available.
-
Q.What is out-of-warranty?
-
A:
Out-of-warranty means:
- The date of purchase of your phone is more than the length of warranty period of your phone e.g. your iPhone was bought over 1 year ago
- The fault you are experiencing is not covered by warranty
-
Q.My phone is out of warranty. What can you do?
-
A:
In certain cases, we will have a replacement service for out-of-warranty phones. This is a paid service, and the price will vary depending on the kind of damage. Our service centre staff will evaluate the fault on the phone, and provide you with a quote for the out-of-warranty service. The out-of-warranty service pricing is cheaper than having to buy a new device.
-
Q.What kinds of faults are covered by warranty?
-
A:
The specific faults covered by the warranty are set by the phone manufacturer, and varies depending on the type of phone you have. Details are provided in the phone box – you should read the terms of your warranty to make sure you understand any limits.
-
Q.What kinds of faults are NOT covered by warranty?
-
A:
This varies by phone, but typically includes (but is not limited to) physical or accidental damage, abuse, neglect, unauthorised modifications, moisture or liquid damage, or use with other accessories or products not authorised by Vodafone. Again, we strongly recommend you read the warranty terms of your particular phone, which can be found in the phone box.
