Freedom Roaming Extra Plans
To make sure you’re always able to make a call when travelling to countries with delayed roaming charges, we’ve introduced a great new No-Limit Plan to keep you connected.
It works like this:
For example: If a person travelling to Lebanon has a Freedom Roaming Extra QR 150 plan and makes QR 200 worth of calls, this is what will happen:
Plan value = QR 150
Starting account balance = QR 150
Total roaming charges = QR 200
Negative balance = - QR 50
A payment of QR 50 is taken for your outstanding roaming charges. Plus, your Roaming Extra QR 150 plan is then added to the account.
Your updated account balance = QR 150
Bonuses will be included every time your plan is replenished. However, you won’t receive bonuses for any negative balance payments.
Roaming charges explained Real time charging
When roaming with your Vodafone mobile in most countries abroad, you will be charged in real time. This means charges will be processed at the same time as you make and receive calls and SMS/MMS.
Delayed charging
There are a few countries that don’t allow us to charge your account in real time. This means that charging will be delayed and it will be possible for your credit to drop to a balance below QR 0.
The top 10 countries with delayed charging are: Lebanon, China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Belarus, Uruguay, Comoros, Mali, Mozambique, Central African Republic.
To find out more about our roaming prices and whether the country you are travelling to has delayed or real time charging, please visit our Roaming Page or contact our Customer Care Team on 111 from your Vodafone mobile, or 800 7111 from any other phone.
