World of difference

Your project will need to make a difference to the charity or cause you’re going to work with as well as making a difference in Qatar. It needs to be sustainable, so think about something that can be completed in one year, with on-going benefits.

How it works

  • Think of a project that could help a specific group of people, make a difference to the environment or local animal life, or anything else – it's up to you.
  • We want you to be completely successful, so make sure your project relates to an area you have some experience in or at least know a bit about.
  • Since we're committed to making a world of difference in Qatar, your year of commitment also needs to take place in Qatar.

Before you apply we recommend you read our application guide. This guide will provide you with everything you need to complete your application, including the application questions along with FAQs and Terms and Conditions.

About the programme

World of Difference was first launched by the Vodafone New Zealand Foundation in 2003 and has since become the flagship programme of many Vodafone Foundations around the world.

So far more than 100 projects have been completed in over 30 countries. Over 1,500 individuals worldwide have given a year of their life to positively impact thousands of people around the world.

World of Difference is an important part of Vodafone's 'Better World' Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, and was launched in Qatar in 2010. Of the 400 people who applied last year, the final winners Mohammed, Margaret, Giovanni and Julie, were chosen for their creativity, innovation and contagious enthusiasm.
