of minimum 3 months with full rental charges excluding the free months.
We are providing the best
internet service available in Qatar but if you use our service and are not
satisfied with it, you can come back in 7 days either to return it completely
or choose a different speed plan. You are not required to pay any additional fee
for plan change or return within 7 days.
No, you cannot change your
plan within the commitment period without paying the termination penalty.
Vodafone doesn’t differentiate
between download and upload speeds at The Pearl - Qatar. This means for a 5 Mbps
plan, you get 5 Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds and for 20 Mbps plan you
get 20 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload. The same applies for 50 Mbps and 100
Mbps plans as well.
The existing Vodafone
customers cannot get this offer. However, they can get a free speed upgrade for
3 months. The free speed upgrade offer allows customers to pay QR 200 (price of
5Mbps Plan) for first 3 months, if they increase their speeds from 5 Mbps to
any higher speed.
The 100 Mbps speed is based on
an ideal situation where you are not using any other services such as the IP TV
in your apartment and hence you will get speeds up to 100 Mbps. The speed can
be reduced if you are using TV services provided by Pearl/UDC, as they also consume
the same network resources.
Technically, these speeds can
only be ensured when you are connected to your PC/Laptop through LAN cable. But
when you are connected through WiFi than several factors can impact your internet
- Most mobile phones do not
support speeds of more than 50Mbps when connected with WiFi- Most laptops and PCs don’t
have the WiFi cards that support speeds up to 100 Mbps- WiFi speeds are also
impacted by the position of the router and the distance of the device using
internet from the router
To check your internet speed
you can visit www.speedtest.net. To
ensure correct speed test make sure you select Vodafone Qatar as your speed test
server. You can also download application on your Android & iOS phones to
test the speeds via WiFi.
