Role of Investor Relations
Vodafone Qatar has a dedicated Investor Relations department and is committed to following best practise in terms of transparency through maintaining an active and open dialogue with its shareholders as key stakeholders in the Company.
The principal means of communication with shareholders and investors is via the Company’s regular quarterly results announcements and the Company’s Annual General Assembly and Annual Report. All shareholders are invited and encouraged to attend the Company’s Annual General Assembly as an opportunity to question the Chairman and Board Members on matters relating to the strategy, operations and performance of the business. The Annual General Assembly also offers shareholders the opportunity to meet informally with Board Members and the executive management of the Company.
As part of our drive for transparency the Company is committed to:
(a) ensuring compliance with the Company’s mandatory disclosure obligations including timely publication of press releases and presentation of quarterly, half-year and full-year results and making appropriate additional information relevant to the Company and its operations available through the Company’s website;
(b) hosting of the Annual General Assembly meeting at which a detailed explanation of the Company’s financial performance and dividend policy;
(c) publication of the Company’s Annual Report detailing the Company’s financial statements and providing an annual review of business operations;
(d) facilitating meetings between the Company’s Chief Executive and/or Chief Financial Officer and institutional investors as appropriate;
(e) hosting investor and analyst calls in conjunction with the release of quarterly financial results and meetings at which senior executive managers provide an overview of business and financial performance;
(f) prompt and efficient response to enquiries from shareholders and analysts through the Investor Relations team;
(g) supporting the local and regional stock exchanges and investor relations associations through attending relevant meetings and conferences throughout the year.
